    • 3 out of 5 is good – it depends on how high you set the bar. My goals were pretty attainable – 13.5 out of 15. But I’m done with goals. I don’t think I need them. Especially since I don’t look at my yearly goals until the end of the year.

AG awards depend on the race and who your competition is. I’ve won nothing with some of my fastest times.

      • One of mine was a weight goals, which I didn’t reach — I came close, but no cigar. Another was to keep up my running journal which I mostly did — much better than in years past, anyway!

Injury free, of course, and I mostly did that. At least I ended the year that way!

I’m not going to do a weight one this year, or not a number, anyway. And some of those will be repeats. Still pondering — it’s time to start writing in the new running journal!

        Have a happy new year!

  1. Holy.snap! Way to crush those goals, Darlene! And what an amazing year of running for you as well! I’m really hoping to up my running game in 2016 as well, and most of it involves pushing myself out of my comfort zone and trying to get faster and go longer.

    Happy New Year’s!

  3. Wow, Darlene you had a fantastic year. My goals for 2015 were of course finishing the Boston Marathon, but also PR’ing the half marathon and placing at the Disney races. I managed to complete all the goals, but I had my ups and downs with my calf problem over the summer keeping me out of running for nearly 5 weeks. I am starting strength training after my Disney marathon next week and hope that will give me more energy to finish stronger at road races!
